Portal for kites and mountainboards
We offer kites from leading manufacturers, such as OZONE, Invento-HQ, Libre and Elliot, as well as mountainboards from Scrub and Libre.
If you have no experience with kites, you should first try two-line kites first. You will learn the basics: how to hold a kite in the wind window, how to start a kite and how to land a kite. This provides the safety and experience necessary for additional stunts and allows you to enter into the world of traction kites.
To start with traction kites, you should begin simply with the kite. Only when you master the kite should you venture into the combination of both. Four-liners and depower kites with a bar are ideal for mountainboarding.
After some time you will discover that the depower kite is more fun with a mountainboard because it is possible to change the angle and to some extent the camber of the kite – thereby producing more or less pressure – using the depower function.
Using this technique it is then possible to perform breathtaking jumps with the kite and mountainboard. Most four-liner traction kites equipped with two handles are sufficient to begin. You can then use a baffle to mount this to a harness that surrounds the pelvis and therefore redirects the pressure from the arms to the whole body. The arms are thus unloaded and serve only to steer. It is then possible to drive these kites with mountainboards and buggies if the kite is big enough.
The mountainboards come in a variety of styles: from pure wooden decks to mountainboards with fiberglass-reinforced wood decks. The latter are generally heavier but are also more stable.
As you can see, there are so many possibilities with kites and mountainboards.
